An 80-hour Course for Assisted Living Managers

TFG Training Modules for Assisted Living Programs
The Towns Foundation Group Inc (TFG)
Hosts An Assisted Living Program in Prince George’s County.
In accordance with the regulations set forth by the Maryland
Department of Health and Mental Hygiene - Office of Health Care
Quality,
the 80-Hour Managers’ Training Course for an Assisted Living
Program is based on the Code of Maryland Annotated Regulations
(COMAR 10.07.14).
Title 10: Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
Subtitle 07: Hospitals; Chapter 14: Assisted Living Programs.
The TFG’s 80-hour ALM
Training Core Curriculum
will follow the guidelines set forth by the
Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene - Office of Health Care Quality or OHCQ.
The core topics will be as follows:
Philosophy of Assisted Living.
  • Definition of an Assisted Living in the State of
    Maryland.
  • Regulated by the Office of Health Care Quality of the
    Maryland Department of Health and Mental
    Hygiene.
  • An Assisted Living Facility provides Housing, Person-
    centered Care, 24 Hour Supervision and Assistance
    and Health-related Services.
  • An Assisted Living Facility is responsible for
    providing adequate 24 hours staffing while
    addressing the physical, functional and psychosocial
    needs of the residents.
